Dennis started with Mid-American Title Insurance Company June 2020 in Sales and Marketing, Client Support and as a Transaction Closing Agent. Working for Mid-American Title was a natural fit after spending over 25 years as a Mortgage Loan Officer. He financed literally thousands of Single-Family Homes, Multi Family Homes, New Construction Draw Loans and Builder Spec Loans.

When Dennis started in Mortgage Lending his role was, well, almost everything.  His responsibilities included the application appointment with the client, processing the file, ordering all the supportive documents from the necessary third-party vendors, reviewing the entire file and submitting it to Loan Committee. Once a file was approved, he cleared any closing conditions, cleared all Title Conditions, scheduled the closing with all parties to the transaction, hand typed the information on the closing documents, the HUD-1, now referred to as the Closing Disclosure, the Note and the Mortgage. He prepared and signed the checks, closed the seller side and the buyer side of every transaction, disbursed the file, prepared all the closing packages and Post Closed the transaction.  That’s how you learn the industry.

Times have changed, but a Title Commitment today looks extremely similar to a title commitment from the 1980’s and earlier.

Customer service matters;  From the beginning of time when businesses focused on customer service, millenniums have passed, to this very day, it still matters.  And possibly, it means more today than ever. E-Mails, Text Messages, Electronic Documents, Remote Closings, Split Closings, and everything in between, it’s good to have a business partner who can be contacted and asked, “Can you help?”  Our goal is to have the answer before the call is ever made. But when the call comes, the answer is "Yes, we can guide you through the process", “Yes, we can do that for you”.

Kara has been purchasing and managing investment properties since 2016. After creating her property management company, she decided it was time to help others buy and sell their properties, whether it is their forever home, vacation home, or investment property. Kara currently property manages a collection of high design homes in the Grand Traverse area. She now has her associate brokers license and is owner of the brokerage.
Kara and her husband live in downtown Traverse City with their three young kids. They absolutely love downtown life and ease of walking to all the local beaches, parks, and restaurants.
In her free time, Kara enjoys stand up paddle boarding, searching for Petoskey stones on the shore of Lake Michigan, hiking the Sleeping Bear Dunes, and exploring all of Northern Michigan’s wineries and breweries. Kara is looking forward to helping you buy or sell you next dream property.
