Class One: Probate Court and the Real Estate Deal (11:00 AM – 12:00 PM)

Gain a better understanding of how probate matters can impact real estate transactions. This class will cover decedents' estates, protected persons, and trust administration, including when probate court involvement is necessary and what documentation may be required to successfully move a transaction from contract to closing.

Class Two: FIRPTA (12:00 PM – 2:00 PM)

Learn the ins and outs of the Foreign Investment in Real Property Tax Act (FIRPTA). This session will explore FIRPTA requirements, applicable exceptions, and potential penalties for non-compliance. Walk away with a better understanding of how FIRPTA may affect your transactions and what to watch for when working with foreign sellers.
