Grand Traverse County residents may dispose of 150 pounds of hazardous materials at no charge. A $1.30/pound fee will be charged for quantities greater than 150 pounds. Appointments are REQUIRED. Appointments will not be accepted until approximately one month before each event. Electronics will not be accepted.

Resource recovery is the process of capturing specific waste materials for reprocessing into new forms of energy. Recovered materials can be used as raw materials in the making of new products. Resource recovery efforts help our environment and our economy by:
